I've always loved the spherical forms found in African pottery. Join me for a unique and immersive online workshop where I’ll share how to make voluminous coil built pottery using minimal tools and ancestral techniques. This workshop is designed to honor the rich tradition of hand building while making the techniques accessible to those who may not have a clay studio space.

In this hands-on session, you’ll learn the art of coil building, a method that has been used for centuries to create functional and sculptural pottery. We’ll focus on simplicity, using basic tools and materials. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced ceramicist, this workshop will deepen your connection to the tactile and meditative process of hand-building.

The workshop will be conducted via Google Meet on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at Noon Eastern/9am Pacific. You will be sent a link via email after you purchase the class. We will meet for two to two and a half hours. If you cannot make that time, the workshop will be recorded and available on my website for 90 days following the workshop.
